Why do some webmasters prefer manual article submissions over automatic submissions?

Article marketing has become one of the most popular methods by which webmasters are promoting their website or building a link campaign for their SEO activities. Loads of webmasters to save time turned to automatic article submission services or automatic article submission software to submit their articles. But there are a few who still prefer to either manual submit to each and every article directory or use a manual article submission service.

Now, why would anyone do this? This is quite a common question especially since there are many automatic article submission services out there and very few manual article submission services. Well automatic article submissions are generally faster and manual article submissions, well because they are manual take much more time :-)

But there are big advantages of manual article submissions. Lets take a look at few of the advantages:-

1) First its manual and not done by some software which means if an article directory changes anything on their website, the person manually submitting the article will just see the changes and act accordingly. Automatic article submission robots can't do that.

2) Many article directories want you to manually submit the article and can even consider automatically submitted articles as spam.

3) If there are any errors or you need to change anything, its easier to make changes in manually submitted articles since for manually submitting articles you always maintain an account with the article directories where one can physically login and edit anything we want.

4) Each article directory is unique. Some accept links in the main article body, some don't. Some accept links only in the author box. Some have policies of having not more than 3 links in an article, some don't. Some allow HTML tags, some don't. The person manually submitting the articles can simply check what are the terms and conditions and submission guidelines of that article directory and submit the articles accordingly. Automatic article submission softwares cant do that.

5) Your article always needs to be put in the right directory. Placing an article in a wrong directory could lead to the administrator of the article directory to reject your article submission. In fact the categories in each article directory could differ from the ones in another article directory. It needs human intelligence and human touch to put the article in the right directory in each of the article directories.

Always remember the fact that each article directory is different from the other. They have their own rules and regulations. Their moderators or editors have their own set of guidelines which can be changed anytime. Any changes can be viewed by manual article submitters. Its no use spending so much money and then finding that your article got rejected from most of the article directories because some guideline was not followed.

Also don’t get fooled by the number of article directories that automatic article submission software submits your article to. Most of the article directories are PR0 and don’t get any traffic and having an article there with your link could actually hurt your search engine optimization efforts.

A lot of webmasters are realizing the above and choosing to manually submit their articles to the article directories that actually matter. Or you can simply hire a manual articles submission service to do all the submissions for you. Just make sure that they are 100% manual and not using any software.

Enhance Web Site Promotion Efforts by Writing Compelling Articles

Publishing articles that relate to the content of your website can be a terrific way to boost your search engine rankings and increase traffic. Unfortunately, poorly written articles end up buried in the article directory junkyards getting narrow visibility. On the other hand, compelling articles retain visibility, broaden your online visibility and radically expand your back link popularity. Read on to learn how you can write more gripping articles.

Article promotion is an proficient marketing strategy that generates web site traffic and is virtually cost free. There is massive growth in the use of this technique to improve search engine rankings, establish credibility and to create backlinks for search engine optimization purposes. This is one of the best ways to drive web site traffic to any new or existing small business web site.

No matter what your article is about, as an author you must absorb the reader. Remember, you are publishing articles to elevate your website and get one-way back links. With a poorly written article you’ll get back links from the article repositories you submit to, but you’ll miss out on the key reason to write articles. The key goal is to get publishers and webmasters to use your content; not just to get your article home's list in the directories. You want your articles to proliferate. Only then, will your embedded links get maximum exposure.

The Style - How do you encourage others to use your articles? First and foremost, the article has to be well written. If you think diagramming a sentence is simply drawing a box around it, you may want to spend some time researching creative writing techniques. Nothing turns off a reader more than poor grammar or sentence structure. On the other hand, good copy writers take advantage of short or incomplete sentences to create emphasis and vary rhythm. Optimize your rhythm. Irregular rhythm encourages your reader to pause and reflect. Be conversational. It makes the article personal. To strengthen your writing technique, read more. As you do, pay particular attention to writing style. Learn from good authors and adapt.

The Hook - Your title will determine if your article is successful or not. Think about it. For a book, the first thing a prospective purchaser sees is the title. People commonly judge the whole book from its title. The same is true for online articles. To turn a casual search engine browser into an engaged article reader, you must first entice them with your title. Otherwise, they will never get to the first paragraph. To write better titles, spend some time reading. Browse your favorite article directory site and look at titles used by others. Learn and adapt. Be creative and use something catchy. Always include targeted keywords that relate to your website.

The Angle - Start with a topic you are passionate about that relates to your website. Your eagerness for the topic will show through in the content. Develop an idea around the topic, but with a different spin. Lead off with this angle. Attract the reader. Once you have his/her attention, expand on your angle. Explain how your angle benefits the reader or solves a problem they face. Loosely speaking, this is your value proposition. Accentuate how your article is different than other articles on the topic. This entices people to read the second paragraph. Use the remainder of the article to expand your key milestones.

The Close - Your closing paragraph should place emphasis on what the reader should do after reading your article. This is your call to action. Remember the importance of the resource box at the end of your article. This is usually the only place you can place a link to your website. Show your experience on the article topic. Include your name, web address and any actions you want the reader to take related to the article.

The motivation of this article is to offer instructions on writing compelling content. An article written for the web should be informative and hold the reader's attention. To do this it should be relevant to the title, well written and contain at least some advice not readily available to the reader. Find an angle on your subject matter and focus on developing it in your article. Don't write articles just to elevate your resource box. Your content will suffer and the article will probably be of little interest to anyone.

massive publicity through press releases

The press release method

If you have had any experience in public relations or marketing, you probably know how well press releases can work. There are many, many companies who have increased sales by 100%-300% in a matter of months simply through using press releases.

Most people don’t know how to write them, distribute them, or use them to their advantage in general. I’m not going to describe how to write them in this article, that’s for another day. However, I will outline the plan that I have used to generate literally millions of dollars in free publicity and advertising for my clients. It is a special program that I call the “24 week total publicity plan”.

This plan works by using publicity to get your clicks and links, which will also boost your standing in most search engines. Furthermore, by sending out enough press releases, you are virtually guaranteeing that you will get a fair amount published and get some awesome publicity.

If you haven’t guessed how the plan works, it works like this. The first week, you look over articles from your industry on e-zines, websites and trade publications. You then come up with 26 different ideas for articles and press releases. You then write them in batches of 5 and start submitting one each week.

You will want to plan ahead for certain seasonal ideas. For example, if you are in the construction business, put out an article or press release describing winter care for your house in the late fall and one on air conditioning as summer starts to come. Timeliness will ensure getting more articles and press releases published and will help your publicity plan in general.

If you have a problem with writing, you’re not alone. There are many people who want to use public relations to their advantage but they simply cannot write for the job, or don’t have the time. The Internet is coming to the rescue, though, because there are many people that are happy to ghostwrite your articles or press releases for a reasonable fee.

Sometimes in publicity and search engine optimization, quantity beats quality. In this case, you may want to write the articles yourself, but you may also want to hire a professional writer to draft the most important ones for you.

Good luck on your quest for great publicity!
